Lads,
Anyone done this sort of job before know if its a one or 2 man job?
Ive never done a car clutch before...done heaps of them on bikes, just wondering if there is much pulling and dragging involved.
Ive done work on wishbones replaced driveshafts etc but i dont have specialist equipment like lifting gear etc should the engine need to be pushed to one side etc.
Cheers,
Marty.

As the gearbox has to come out of the bottom of the car before you can access the clutch, there's no way I would attempt this one by myself or without a hoist to get the car right up in the air...you have to release the bottom suspension joints to pop the driveshafts out, and its exhaust off (usually) and gear linkages disconnected just for a start. Why not get a quote from a specialist such as Mr. Clutch or similar? Save you loads of grief! Cheers John :)

Cheers Mate,
Ill get a quote to get it done.
Thanks for your help...appreciate it.
Cheers,
Marty.

Finally got around to tackling this job yesterday. Jacked the car onto axel stands and dropped the box out was a lot if work alright as I didn't have hoist but had an extra pair of hands for repositioning the box.
I can finally drive up steep hills again!!!
For anyone tempted to do a clutch on their own get a Haynes manual and give it a lash!!
Cheers
Marty
