Replacing double garage door

House is down a small private road off a cul-de-sac, so not facing highway.

Looking to replace the garage door to a detached dbl garage with (multi) folding patio doors and using garage (which has not been used as a garage for 13yrs i've been here as too small for my car) for a pool table and gym.

No other works to floor or walls other than existing.

Sent email to duty planning officer, but generally expecting it to be ok? No alterations to size of opening.

If it me, I would just alter the doors.

You arent turning it into a habitable space and so it could be converted back to a garage.

What you are asking I guess is if you need planning permission? - my guess is that its a change of use, so theoretically yes, but not worth applying for.
