Hi there,
I'm trying to replace a new wishbone and having problems with replacing the torx headed bolt through the clamp where the ball joint locates.
The problems i have are (i) I have used a jack to try to push the ball joint pin high enough up into the clamp, but don't seem to be able to get it in far enough for the torx headed bolt to be of use, and (ii) I'm not so sure if I should be lining up the torx headed bolt with the groove that's in the ball joint pin (though common sense tells me I should be lining the two)
Please advise my father and I have been working on this for too long now! :(

The groove on the ball joint pin mates with the torx bolt passing through...its my guess that the pin is sticking in too far!
If the pin really wont go far enough in, clout the side of the wishbone housing and the pin should jump in.
John :)
