Just moved into a property and the tv reception from the outdoor aerial is almost non existant.

From a bit of basic research I understand this is likely to be down to the aerial or the cable, and one or both may need replacing.

How would I go about wiring the new cable into the current wall socket, or even replacing the new aerial?

Wondering if it might be best to get someone in, but unsure whether anyone would take on a job as small as this.

If the aerial is fitted to the roof....it is not a small job..If you have no plans to go cable or satellite, then get the specialists in.

Check the aerial connectors by taking it apart and the outside earth of the cable is not touching the solid copper wire which give poor quality picture.

In the Yellow pages there are many Aerial fitters, some of them will rip you off I'm afraid, get a few quotes first.
