Was recently given a Buffalo (CH-LS500) NAS without a hardrive (failed) and had a couple of old skyhd boxes that I stripped down to reuse the HD. Reformatted them and put 1 off them into it. Only firmware I could find from Buffalo site was upgraded FW, ran that whilst the NAS was hardwired to my laptop, couldn't see it, tried it again whilst it was connected to the router and again nothing.
Put the files straight into the HD and tried running it from that and still nothing.
Found an old thread on another site that says you should clone the original HD to get files from but as I don't have that I was wondering if anyone else could help.
