Reson 8 Bell box

Hi I have a Accenta G4 panel and the bell box started to go off when the system was in day mode, decided to replace the Bell box ordered a new Reson8 bell box, fitted and went to test mode on the LCD PANEL engineers mode ,walk test all good Alarm test i cannot get the sounder to sound strobe flashes while its on but not the sounder, checked wiring they are as diagram can`t find problem. what terminals does the signal go out to the sounder ? any help please

B is the bell ring .....remove wire from this at the panel and touch to 0v as per diagram if it does not ring you have wired it up incorrectly or it’s faulty

Bit wet to get on the roof yet will do later but I have checked a few times, had a problem with the tamper when I first replaced it found problem was the rear spring had hooked up on the cable entry spigot ? put that right strobe test ok but no sounder

Swop the strobe and bell trip wire over at the bellbox and panel to prove it’s not a cable issue ....

Both wires are switched negative , that’s why I asked you to remove the bell trip wire and place it on the 0v

Hi attached panel wiring changed over yellow and black set alarm and triggered it no external sounder internal are fine

Did you swop it at the bell box ? .....

No at the panel, it is tipping down here not fit for roof access bell box is on the chimney, will try that tomorrow weather permiting . If I bring the bell box down can I test wire it to a known source direct to make the sounder work to test it because it is looking likely to be faulty to me

You do know that the bell is set to test time .....possibly 5 secs

Hi yes I just moved it while I tested, the strobe is flashing so exchanged the yellow and black wires (as still crossed over in the panel) no sounder the led are alternating as set and the led battery charging is lit used the black wire strobe lit put back on sounder nothing. I am at a loss now have ordered a new bell box
