Retaining wall ideas please? Rough cost?

Waseem is the steel mesh tied into the footing or the wall? If not it is not adding to the strength of the wall???

I'm not sure to be honest if it is tied in I left that to the builders they were very competent. There's no party wall agreement as the wall is within the parameters of my property. Building regs did check the work upon request.
The building behind you is so close to that wall and considering how deep you dug that unless the building behind is on a piled foundation your work cutting away that bank may well have a possible effect on their footings. The load of their building may not add to the load exerted on your wall.
Perhaps that is your garage or something though in which case its not a big deal. If that was my house up above i would have insisted on seeing the engineers design not just some cobbled together spec from a builder no matter how competent you think they are.
We all go on about retaining walls and there need for designing above a certain height because they can in the very worst circumstances be dangerous but when you build one so close to a building, especially a neighbours building you really must have them properly designed if only for legal protection in case something happens to their building.
Were there reinforcing bars sticking out of the concrete vertically when the footing was poured? It doesnt look like it from the first set of pictures and if not Then the reinforced concrete is not really doing anything apart from adding weight.

Yes thats a house above and the neighbour insisted on a retaining wall which I was planning to build. The steel was added later I think. He has had a specialist subsidence contractor out who have had a look the back filling was more an issue it's a bit loosely filled they said actual wall is fine
Hence the party wall comment, If you excavated below the footing level of an adjacent building the party wall act applies depending on the buildings proximity because you could have a detrimental impact on the footings. I think it's 3m
I'm not surprised they had a subsidence expert come look at it I certainly would be very worried about it if it was my house.
As i said before With an engineer designed wall you could be confident there is no liability with you in the future as opposed to simply hoping it won't ever be a problem
