I wonder how many babies were conceived and born during either of theworld wars, or any other war come to that.
It's a different scenario.
During war the birth rate normally goes down, due to the number of males away fighting the war, and the service of women in other relevant roles
Immediately after the war there is a rise in the birth rate, especially in male children.
But in concentration camps scenarios, as in Gaza, the birth rate does go up as people naturally form relationships. Auschwitz - Birkenau held some families in a "Family Camp"
Naturally without access to contraception the birth rate increases.
From 1943, In Auschwitz, and Terezin, newborn babies were executed regardless of their ethnicity, without being recorded in the camp records. So no record were collected on how many babies were born. They were all killed during the liquidation of the Terezin camp during late 1944.
Later non-Jewish babies were allowed to survive but were not recorded in the camp records until they were 1 year old.
Some records exist for Auschwitz-Birkenau for Sinto and Roma births There were 700 children born there.
