I've recently moved into the house and I'm planning to install a Heatmiser PRTHW-W plus suitable relay to give replace an existing Danfloss 102E5 timer and provide me with a room thermostat (none currently fitted). This is on a Y plan system. The existing 'wiring centre' is as below:
A few things are giving me cause to consider rewiring or replacing it entirely and starting from scratch, namely:
1. No clamps on the flex
2. Access partly obstructed by condensate drain
3. Numbering non-standard (as far as my limited knowledge goes)
Here you can see it in-situ, together with the incoming mains and the connection of the three port valve via a 4-pin socket:
Should I just start again? Is there anything particularly wrong with the existing setup? Opinions welcome!
