Hello,

I was wondering if a ripple in a bent pipe as per the photo below (cheap bender and thin pipe I guess) is likely to cause a problem long-term?

Other than not looking very good, is it going to be weakened to the point it will spring a leak in the future?

Thanks!

1. Should be OK. The copper within the ripples is in compression so should not have thinned.
2. Pipe is standard size (15 mm OD, 0.7 mm wall or 22mm OD, 0.9 mm wall)
3. Make sure guide and former are clean, pivot bolt is tight and roller free to turn.
4. If the pipe is hard, you could always anneal the bend area. Heat to cherry red then allow to cool in air or quench in water.
