Roof covering for roof terrace for foot traffic?

We have an existing roof terrace, I believe put in 30 years ago.

Its got a thick bitumen coating but its not in the best of condition, there as been water getting in and patched up and needs renewing

What are the best options for a covering if its taken off and reboarded? not clear what the best could be for foot traffic

Would a GRP or felt roof work with a 10/12 mm of (driveway) resin mix overlayed on top?

Not sure I'd walk on a GRP roof as a regular thing; have you considered rubber?

Actually, what is your preferred decorative coating? Is it really driveway resin?
