Hello, I'm currently building a summer house in my garden (known buy the neighbours as Jim's Pub!) I plan to have a pitched roof. I have many rosemary roofing tiles spare, so I was thinking of using those on the roof. I have done a bit of roofing in the past, but I am not sure about how to stop driving rain getting under the tiles on the gabble end. Any advice??

You put a undercloat ( a 6" strip of sheeting ) under the tiles batten and overhang approx 50mm. The end tiles should be flushed to the edge of the undercloat then backfill with sharp sand & cemment.

Make sure when you make the roof trusses is design to take the weight of the tiles.

Have you thought of using a difference type of roofing, there're many which would be suitable for a summerhouse. I have a tile effect metal roofing sheet and are available in 1m wide to whatever length you want.
