I am starting a garage conversion and part of it will be a bathroom with shower. approx 4 sqm floor space.

All 4 sides of the new bathroom will lead to other rooms so I think it is best to install an extraction fan which vents up and out of the flat roof.

House was built approx 1970 and I think the roof composition is as follows:
Bitumen
Chipboard
joist

I will be insulating between the joists and putting plasterboard below the joist.

Question 1, what do I need to install a bathroom extractor fan and vent it out through the roof?

Are these the items I need?:

Ubbink OFT-1F roof vent

then some ducting and a extractor fan such as this

Question 2, can someone walk me through the correct way to install these. What is the best way to achieve a water tight seal. Is there a best way to cut the bitumen without causing unnecessary damage.

Thanks for the help.
