Hi,

I replaced my old room thermostat yesterday as the dial on the old one had broke.

Everything seemed to be working fine yesterday and last night but I woke up this morning and the boiler was off and no heat.

There are no lights at all on the oil burner so I assume its the thermostat that's the problem. I connected the red and yellow wires to the thermostat as per instructions and previous wiring.

Is there a chance I just ended up with a dodgy thermostat? It's just a basic Sunvic mechanical thing, cost about £13.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Kev

Sounds like your boiler isn't working then.

The room stat just controls the central heating

Unless you have disturbed or damaged something else.

Sorted it now thanks - believe it or not my missus had put a box on top of the boiler which was resting against the switch on the wall. Hence no power!

Pure coincidence this happened at the same time as me putting a new thermostat in!

Cheers for your responses anyway.

Kev
