No gas is coming out of the torch when I press the button. It was working fine until the gas ran out of the previous bottle and won't work with the new bottle and it has the same fitting. When I press the valve in the bottle it releases gas at pressure. Anyone else had a problem like this?

Not a problem I’ve had. Have you definitely opened the knob?
I've had mapp gas bottles before with a problem thread that wouldn't connect to my SF2. Try a replacement bottle before taking the torch apart!
Have you had snots of solder drop into the nozzle? Usually need another torch to heat the blocked one and melt the snots back out.
