Router recommendations

Apologies if this topic has been covered before but I can't seem to get the search engine working properly.
I have to buy a router at the weekend and I guess I will mostly using it on light work around the house and perhaps for making some furniture at a later date. Have you any recommendations on what I should go for, make/model/price that sort of thing? I know the old saying is the more you pay the better you get, but I don't think my use for it will ever be beyond the hobby/diy sphere.

ive got all sorts of router from hitachi mv 12 big heavy beastie through 17 year old b+d some cheap powerdevil set up for specific tasks
i have some ryobi al though not a router and was quite taken by this table and router
