I have searched cable route topics, but can't find the answer.
Is it against regulations to run a twin and earth cable down inside the box that covers the bathroom soild pipe.
i.e to use it as a route to get from ceiling into the kitchen.

That's a most common practice, Newgate, and a safe practice too. So carry on......

From the OSG:

6 - For sheathed-and-armoured cables in vertical runs which are inaccessible and unlikely to be disturbed, supported at the top of the run by a clip and a rounded support of a radius not less than the appropriate value stated In Table 4E.

7 - For sheathed cables without armour in vertical runs which are inaccessible and unlikely to be disturbed, supported by the method described in Item 6 above; the length of run without intermediate support not exceeding 5 m for a thermosetting or thermoplastic sheathed cable.

Table 4E states:

Diameter less than or equal to 10mm - a factor of 3 is to be applied to overall diameter of cable to determine minimum internal radius of bend.

Diameter greater than 10mm but less than or equal to 25mm - a factor of 4 is to be applied to overall diameter of cable to determine minimum internal radius of bend.

Diameter greater than 25mm - a factor of 4 is to be applied to overall diameter of cable to determine minimum internal radius of bend.

Providing the cable is supported by a clip and a rounded support of the correct radius and not exceeding 5 metres in length, yes, if you want to go by the guidance from the OSG that is.

But T&E ain't sheathed-and-armoured...

But T&E ain't sheathed-and-armoured...

No, but it's relative.....
