ROUTING

I have just discovered I have a problem in the Kitchen. The Cooker Hood Extractor(CHE) is not rigged to take the air to the outside - There is no ducting system. It will be easy enough to fit one but I have one small problem. There is no way I can Rout into the Pelmet above the CHE because I have no space to get my Drill into position. The available space is about 7".
I don't want to dismantled the Pelmet, is there an easier way to do the Routing without having to dismantle the Pelmet?

not quite shure i fully understand the problem so i am assuming its restricted accsess for your drill so i am suggesting a holes saw[100mm!!!] and an angle drill driver

Can you not take the hood out and drill upwards?
