Ah! I see the flaw in your logic... Britain isn't skint, but it is taking steps to prevent it from falling down the same hole as the European pigs otherwise they will be skint...And it definately aint broken, it's just having its 20 year service and oil change.... These are times of change and it is painful for those who do not embrace change. these are times of creativeness and oportunity.... And me?? I'm very optimistic...but we have to become mean lean and tough again so I'm afraid the public sector get little sympathy from me

PLUMBERS GETTING 22K BONUSES FOR INSTANCE. ITS A SHAME BECAUSE THESE FELLAS WILL BE FINE AND DANDY AND STILL WORK , POSSIBLY STILL IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR AND THE ONES THAT DONT DESERVE IT ARE GETTING AXED.

22K.... No way.
The gully outside my house has been blocked for at least 6 months and I have reported it four times... all they have to do is to schedule the work to be done whildt the gully tanker is in the area. Several times in the six months I have seen the truck on my road cleaning gullies, yet mine has not been done... May the sackings continue until morale improves.
I will add that we have always had crummy service from the council but years ago they managed to provide crummy service with a lot less staff
