RTS turn off

Strange goings-on - after RTS switchoff I had zero night consumption for 3 months, but took readings today and I have night consumption again! Ratio night/total 16%, similar to before switchoff. Anybody know what's happening?
Do I take it that you're talking about a 'dumb' dual tariff meter, whose night readings re now going up during the night but not during the daytime? If so, s you imply, that sounds 'impossible', because I can find no evidence that the signalany long exists i any other form.
All I can think of is that your radio teleswitch could pehaps be equipped with some sort of 'backup'/contingency facility, either using some other 'wireless source' or perhaps even an internal 'clock'? ... although I've never heard of such a thing!

@DiyNutJob it intrigues me as to why with a non-working RTS one would keep a split tariff? I had a split tariff with British Gas, the leaving fee was £75, so I was waiting for the time to elapse to change to Octopus, I did expect the tariff to continue after the year, but no, it auto reverted to standard tariff, not a problem two weeks latter I was with Octopus and being paid for export.
But now been with Octopus over a year, and their tariff simply carried on. Which is what I wanted.
On another thread I was talking about tariffs, so went to look at the charges, only an AI hunt, but it seems peak with some deals very little difference to standard rate, but not with mine, so maybe you're one of these to have a peak rate close to standard rate?
Time is another question, with economy 7 and 10, they seemed to use UTC all year around, where most the other tariffs move to BST when the clocks change. This is quite a big deal for me, as winter my battery is not big enough to span sun set to off-peak start, but plenty big enough to span off-peak end to sun rise. So BST I rarely run out of battery, but UTC it happens a lot, not worth getting another battery as batteries have a limited life, but it does impact on my bill.

No idea, I haven't looked at my bill for years. So, the silly monkeys take whatever they want. My strategy is different to yours. I reduce consumption where I can: no tumble dying all year round, accumulate more clothes for washing, etc.

My first house had a car port, ideal for drying clothes, but without it, it means the drop everything, its raining, someone has lit a BBQ, or a bonfire, and in this house, sets of steps to a garden area we could use.
So in the main, we tumble dry with solar power. Sometimes we use off-peak, but it allows drying sans bird lime.
I remember our first house, and washing day, my parents had one of the first Bendix front loaders, bolted to the floor. So the twin tub was somewhat an eye-opener, washing one day a week, and whites first then colours, and my overalls the last, all in the same water. All through the mangle into spin drier, then out on the line.
No cooking on washing day. And back then terry towel nappies.
It was an all day job, I look back at what my wife did back then, and she had a hard life.
When we moved to second house, children in school, so she started to work, so simply no time to use a twin tub, or a washing line, and the tumble drier took up its place in the annex to kitchen. Never had washing machine or tumble drier in main kitchen since that first house. Food and clothes washing don't really mix.
But until I moved here, and got solar installed, what time of day I did things did not matter. And the whole question of being ruled by solar and tariffs is something quite new to me. And not sure if we should? If in town, we think nothing of having a meal in the supermarket café, likely cost 3 times cost to eat at home, if not more, but we will stay up until 00:30 to turn on washing machines before retiring.
Yesterday it rained, but by 10:30 the batteries were full, but did my wife do all the washing then, no, she did it before going to bed, it really does not make any sense.
Not sure economy 7 ever made sense, OK where no option, high rise flats etc, but oil and gas have always been cheaper, and to call storage radiators central heating was simply not correct, there was nothing central about it.

on my electric app, not a clue what it means, don't want dirty carbon footprints on my clothes, but unless I walk in the steam trains ash, and then trample on my clothes, think it's highly unlikely to happen.

That's right with a RTS.
The readings are going where they used to before the RTS was switched off. My electric use varies very little throughout the year, and the total this time, and the night rate fraction, are in line with all the previous.

Signals should be off months ago, at least that's my impression.
The signal was going to stop a year or so ago, but it kept being delayed. And it varied around the country. The odd thing is mine stopped 3 months back but has now re-started. Interesting to see if it stays on.
I was reasonably sure the RTS meters had a mains-supported clock internally that could be accurately set via the LW signal as well as (the rarely used, it seems) switching of additional cheap rate slots in 'groups'.
That clock is now very likely to drift over time - mainly with power cuts... (same as the old non-RTS mechanical clocks did) and then any storage heating/water heating could happen at the wrong time. Whether the attached meter(s) register peak and off peak based on the RTS' unit's internal switching system is unclear.
The Electricity supply companies don't want to tell people the full details as they are incentivised to fit replacement smart meters.
On the other hand if people are foolish enough to keep resisting getting one and the wide range of tariffs they can offer - let them.
