Hi all, just after some help on what brand of EPDM people would recommend. Been offered Rubberbond and Firestone but the Rubberbond is slighlty more expensive.

The difference is that Rubberbond has a fleece backing and firstone doesn't.

Hi there

Ive just fitted a firestone rubber roof to the new crown roof on my extension, approx 45 m2.

I went for the commercial grade product - 1.52mm thick instead of the domestic stuff 1.14mm? I think - Was slightly more expensive but I thought thicker should be better.

Overall I am happy with it, but obviously time will tell.

Dont know about the other stuff.

I am a bit confused if you glue it down how is a fleece back rubber going to work?

The adhesive soaks into the fleece and still gives a good bond. Hard for me to say that being a Firestone distributor...But at least its the truth. Good product to be fair

As already mentioned. Firestone do a 1.5mm heavy duty grade. Usually offered if extra foot traffic. Also aesthetically it does lay better as it hides any gaps in the boards etc. Same life span though 50 years plus
