Run a waste pipe above a CU?

I have to run a waste pipe from washing machine. It needs to run horizontally along the same wall as the consumer unit is on and needs to run approx 15cm above it.

Is this okay or is there an "exclusion zone" around the CU for anything to do with water?

No exclusion zone, but any pipes or other items must not get in the way of the CU, which includes having proper access to allow the cover and items inside the CU to be removed.

The other obvious thing is that it is a bad idea to have any joints in the waste pipe anywhere near the CU.

Thanks both. Yep, I intend to have a continous run above the CU, no joins.
