Hi hope somebody can help me. I'm installing a new kitchen which is an unusual shape. On one side of the Room I have a 600mm base unit that will house the sink and an integrated washing machine to one side and an integrated dishwasher to the other. This is all that makes up the run. We are having a granite worktop installed by a contractor. Any tips on how to make this work? Will I need to make a frame either side of the 600 unit to support the worktop? Do the appliances go in before or after worktop? Any advice would be much appreciated as I'm in a bit of a pickle.

Cheers matt

The units will support the worktop.
Work top is fitted first.

Can't see that working, if there's a cutout for the sink in the granite worktop. At least a 600mm overhang either side of the sink base unit?? Surely the worktop will need support either end too ?

I've run a batten down the wall either side and at each end. Do you think this will be enough?

Thanks for the help

Sorry yes 600mm each side of sink base unit, at the side of the dish washer and washing machine is an end panel screwed to the wall.

Integrated dishwasher unit means it will have a carcase, unless he meant built under.

It must be a built under as it has no carcase, just have to fit door that matches units.

You will need support to rear and sides but so as not to fowl the appliances.

I agree. Best not to leave carcasses of dead birds under the sink.
