ran my 97 transit on almost pure veg oil for two years,until pulled by ministry on a spot check,on the spot fine £250 for using untaxed fuel,took keys off me until i walked to bank ,returned and paid the money,let me go with a letter saying i had 24 hrs to clear fuel tank and lines

it was about 3 years ago,and yes you can now use bio fuel but you have to register with HMRC I do not think you can use new veg oil,as they have no way to tax it,it is the same with LPG, autogas has road fuel tax were heating LPG has not
