Rusty Hole under gutter

Hi,

I have recently noticed a small rusty hole on our roof overhang, underneath the gutter - it looks like the wire mesh has rusted away. Does anyone know how best to sort this out? pics below

I would apply foam filler to the hole then cover with 50mm wide gaffer tape. Be careful as the foam will fall onto you so fill and apply the tape quickly. Let it set for 24hrs then remove the tape and cut flush then paint black.
