S 7

Have got a problem with my heating - when I switched it on this year it would only come on when the water was on - after pressing a few buttons to try to reset it is not coming on at all.

The code coming up now is S.7 which is pump overrun - is there anything I can do or am I in need of an engineer?!!! I am NOT an engineer / plumber

I got my ball working but not for long it said hes got a vaillant ecotec with the code s7 on the display, then it lost the signal

Forgive me if my crystal ball is a bit blurry, Do you have an ecotec plus 4xx boiler?

If so I would guess you have a circulation issue, check the motorised valves and pump - also is there enough water in he system if open vented (small tank in the loft)
