Salamander pump only pumps cold side

Hi,

I have a Salamander CT Force 15TU pump that has run fine for about 3 years.

However recent overheated and tripped out. It worked ok for a few days but now cold side pumps fine, but the hot turns the pump on and the pump runs but there is no extra pressure.

What could be causing this?

Check filters on both inlets for a start.

There’s good flow on the hot when the pump is off so I can’t see how it would be a blocked filter. The flow switch turns on and the pump runs, but there’s no additional pressure.

Isolate hot feed and inspect impeller, likely either damaged or melted off the driveshaft and not getting driven

That was my fear. Any idea if you can replace the parts or just a new pump?

Depends .....

You'd need to get in there and see what's gone. If it's just the impeller then you may be able to replace it.

That being said I know that salamander did do o-ring seal, mechanical and electric repair kits, not sure they would still do them though.
