Hi all, can anybody offer help please.
I'm replacing an electric hob. The old one has three terminals on it as normal.
The new samsung one has an earth and four other terminal marked 1,2,3,4.
The manual offers two wiring options. 1N seems to put neutral to 4 then live to 1,2,and 3 all linked.
The second option 2N seems to offer a neutral to 4 then a live to 1 and another live to 2 and 3.
Since the cable to the appliance is twin and earth I assume that the first is option the one to use, but I don't understand why in the option I should join all the live terminals together (1,2,and3) or am I making a mistake?
