hi. Had to replace the battery (it did last 10 years ). However trying to reset it but can't seem to get rid of tamper light and therefore can't set the alarm. Any ideas ?

Spring is there, appears to connect to back of the alarm box but touches plastic ( ie no metal to metal connector) is that right ? I can see the mark on the plastic where it touched previously
Hold it in and enter code ...

Tried that. Held the spring put in the code and it beeped once but didn't clear
