Hey ppl
Iv just had the double glazzing done all my old windows were metal framed and there is some seriouse weight to them is it worth me weighing them in with the scrap man??

before taking it to a scrap yard, determine what metal it is. Then call a couple of yards and get a price per kg. you usually get more if you clean the metal - i.e. you don't have glass in it or any debris.
 
I'd imagine it's galv steel. You'll get a few quid, but don't expect a fortune.

The lad who works for me told me yesterday he got £530 for last years scrap he had collected off a few jobs we had done... He did buy me a beer - so, I'm happy.

Hey, he spent the time cleaning it all up and storing and then shifting it... So, he's welcome to it...
