It's good for sand and cement rubbed up for tiles - but like the mono you have to catch it at the right time.

Why on the hardwall ?

i thought u said u had deleted your account m8? im glad u didn't, i have an H feather edge and have cut it down to 4ft 9in, i was introduced to it a few years ago when i done a bit of machine plastering, its cut down for speed and easiness as its light enough to hold in one hand while you scrape the gear off with the trowel and bung it back on the wall

i was tought to use it on hard wall , cant tell you why though as i went and done machine plasting a few years back and the bloke plonked one in my hand, first time i ever see one and it was cut down , its one of the hardest couple of days plastering ive had, you had a lab feeding the machine, the boss was pumping it on and i was ruling off, it took him about 10-15 mins to put a wall on , i remember having 3 walls on the go all at once it killed me, then the next day we used them to scratchcoat a new build 2 story cottage, i cant remember what the render was though

I might have the wrong end of the stick, Steve. Are we talking about a 'H' Frame for scraping back monocouche when it's hard enough , just before the scratch pad - or a 'h' section straight edge for ruling off and filling?

im not sure who has the wrong end of the stick mich h frame feather edge for ruling off is what im on about http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=livGiBuyR2A it looks like they have cut theirs down as well, tbh i have never heard of an 'H' Frame for scraping back monocouche i dont know anything about monocouche lol

haha yeah i was confused by the scrapeing back term i didnt know if you ment ruleing off or when you scratch back mono before you use the spike float (well thats wat i call the float, proberly not right name). i like that h frame looks like it would even make ruleing off render easier.
