Screwfix/Plumbfix run out of stock on promotion.

Feb/March they had a promotion on the excellent Fernox TF1 magnetic filter.

Only problem is they ran out of stock half way through and did not bother to order any more!

I was assured by Fernox that they could have had another 1000 within a day or two!

So what was your problem Screwfix?

Is this a better product than the magnaclean do you think?

I saw all three of them at the show this week and had them demonstrated to me and discussed their points.

Also I have fitted each of the others in the last two weeks.

Depending on the sale price I think this one is better. But as S/F were out of stock I have not fitted any.

The stock levels in both our local Screwfix & Tradepoint are always very low. Like all these companies, they're run by Accountants & if an item is on the shelf for more than two weeks without shifting, they reduce the quantities or remove it completely.

Yes, but this was a promotion running for two months!

Also a relatively high value item too.

When it runs out during a long promotion and is available from the UK suppliers the next day then if I ran S/F there could be heads rolling!
