.. and no, i'm not an advertising dogger!

What is the best sort of screw to use in a wall fixing a sign, outside?

Do i need to go for stainless steel? Will zinc be okay? Do i need a phosphate coating? Coated steel? Would decking screws be best?

Any advice appreciated.

ah ok... the obvious for bathroom use.... i should've thought of that.
However, i actually wanted to fix a number of outdoor chalkboards on a wall, so if the looked black, it would look better...?

Be a devil go for A4.

I agree abourt stainless. It is not very expensive as long as you buy a box and not the little plastic prepacks.

Galvanised will last a short time outside before the protective layer erodes and it goes rusty.

Brass is very soft and weak and unless you are very careful some will break while you are driving them in, and you will damage the heads on others.
