Two of my internal doors the latch side rubbing so rather than planing that side it's better to tighten the hinge screws I believe but they're not biting hard into the lining. Take screws out and put in bits of wood and wood glue then screw back in straight away?

Miss job n knocks lol. He knew his stuff

Yes but wait until its dry, I use the round bamboo skewers, its like they are bade for the job, if the point end is really long then nip it a bit shorter with the wire cutters section on a pair of pliers and also cut it down to about 2 inches uou can then coat with glue and hammer it in as they are very strong that way, then just snap them off level when dry. Drill a pilot hole and use hinge tight screws.

I miss him as well.

I use matches with super glue to plug the hole.

Larger holes, perhaps wooden dowels with wood glue- longer wait drying time.

Out of interest, why are the hinges not rebated into the door edge?
