Sculpture for heathrow terminal 2

1% will wonder at the work of art...the rest will be more interested in getting their flight and not losing their luggage.

I don't know about anyone else, but I wouldn't really want to be seeing a huge mass of twisted metal just as I was about to get on a plane.

The problem with modern art, is that artists don't want to do what the public call "proper" sculptures and paintings (you know, like non abstract people and objects).

They want to do something "new" that will make them famous, no one will become famous by making another david or mona lisa.

Unfortunately that means **** like this gets passed of as "art", simply because it is "new and imaginative" blablabla.

The sculpture is beautiful, and will be a real show-piece for T2. The people who speak out against it are freedom-hating loony liberal communists, who shouldn't be allowed near an airport anyway.

I'm thinking of entering the Turner Arts competition next year, with a piece of tarmac 6ft long by 3ft wide. A dead hedgehog, a dead rabbit and dead pheasant placed strategically upon it.
It's entitled "Roadkill."
I was going to put my bed on show, but realised it's far too tidy.

How about hanging a huge sack of excrement from a ceiling and calling it "World Religions"

I removed a pan connector yesterday with three tea bag sizes t*rds lodged in it. I wish I had kept it now.

it will have been nicked within 2 months by "metal thieves" (i bet they're 'ard !!)
