sds chuck help

my chucks playing up on my 24v bosch drill.
Its not accepting drill bits properly they eventually click in after a bit of messing about.
Its ever since my mate put to much of grease down the chuck.
Is there anything i can do about it?

I have a Bosch 24V SDS drill too. My chuck also sticks. I have just got used to it and give the drill bit a good shove to get it in.

Not quite sure why you have posted this in the Electrics UK section, you would be better off in the tools and materials section.

i asked in here as every sparky as a sds drill and could have like you had the same problem

try wshing chuck out by spraying wd40 to thin grease out
