Sealant strip

To be honest I doubt you'll find a tradesman on here who's been anywhere near that, we use good quality silicone. It's made by a reputable company so it probably works from a sealing point of view but I'd question whether over time you might get mildew forming at the edges, and it's never going to look as good as silicone.
 
Thanks, I'm just trying to understand all my options.

Thing is, no matter how well I think I have siliconed, parts of it eventually start lifting from the bath. Sticks fine to the tiles!

I don't know if the silicone is the cause of the leak, but I am desperate to try anything at the moment!
