I have recently bought a new surround. I have built up the surround as instructions say and the back panel is not flush with the back of the surround. It sits inside 1". I always thought the back panel had to be sealed to the wall. This one is a mile away.

Thanks

Better call in a Corgi who knows all the dangers and operational needs and rules and regs and methods and materials and suppliers.
Sorry.
WHy the sheds sell some of this stuff is beyond me. It's asking for people to get themselves into trouble. If you get it wrong you might wake up dead in the morning.

There's a recent well doc'd case of a guy installing a fire, in accordance with the rules and instructions, apart from checking something which was factory set, and sealed.
Killed a girl and her dog.
Mad.
