I have bought some polished porcelain tiles from Wickes for my bathroom (floor and walls).
The manufacturer advise to seal the tiles with a LTP sealant product.
I have the following questions:
1) How and when to clean the tiles prior to sealing (do I need a special product)?
2) I have seen they have sealant applicator pads, it seems expensive for what it is, will a sponge do the same job or I actually need one of those?
3) How many coats should I apply? I was thinking one before grouting and one after.
4) Is it ok to clean the tiles once already laid on the floor with the adhesive (i.e. will I have an issue if some water goes in the gaps where the grout will go later)?
