Sealing the back side of Asbestos Insulation Board.

Hi, has anyone had any experience in sealing the back side of Asbestos Insulation Board?

The boards in question board a car port and the reverse side is screwed into the joists of a bedroom above. We’re adding an en-suite to the room and didn’t want to disturb the AIB. The “raw” side of the board will face into the house - has anyone sealed or can suggest a way of sealing the boards prior to any work being done?
