Hi hoping someone a lot more knowledgeable than me can assist.
One of our security lights is out. I suspect it is the light not the sensor as the light is a lot older. I would like to attach a smaller light to the circuit rather than replacing the original light (it is about 5 metres up and don't fancy going up that high in the current weather).
I tried attaching another security light at the point where the original light meets the PIR sensor but the light stays on rather than being activated by the PIR sensor.
Is it possible to add another light to the circuit near the sensor without removing the original light?
Thanks in advance

Then you’ve connected it to the wrong terminals. Try moving the live to you new light to the other L terminal.

Just for the benefit of others coming here in the future, in the above photo, the cable feeding the PIR has a permanent live feed (red), a switched live output (yellow) and a neutral feed (blue). Also, there is an earth wire, green/ yellow.

To attach a light fitting at this point, the live for that light fitting goes to the switched yellow, the neutral to the blue, and the earth to the earth if required.
