Does anyone currently use them?

Saw an advert tonight saying they are flogging 4x2 timber for 99p a length.

Is it worth signing up? They have a couple of branches near me.

It's 99p a metre (plus VAT) in the May offers, if thats what you mean.

Generally, they are not cheap, but not expensive either, but they do carry almost everything a builder will need for common jobs, so you don't have to hunt around.

The monthly offers are good

Agree with Woody. A lot of stuff they sell can be found cheaper in screwfix or wickes.
I always take note of the special offers flyer and 'stock up' on the basics. Timber quality is pretty good too, if you avoid the obvious 'benders'.

Sounds worthwhile then :)

How strict were they with you proving that you are in the trade?

I work for a company, so don't really have any buisiness stationary

They took my homemade busi card. You could get some done in one of those kiosks, for printing such things.

Went and signed up today.

Took a few invoices and bits as proof of being trade.

They didn't even ask to see them, and just signed me up

ha ha
trust they are the biggest jokers ever! and they nearly bust like buildbase jokers [ worst merchants are travisty perkins 995 million in debt )!!!!

i can sell you timber at 1p per meter ... can i deliver.....umm no

avoid

I've been using them for a year or so now, and I'm quite happy with them.

I've spent thousands there.

Better that the miserable t***s at my local independant, who make their prices up as they go along, never seem to have anything in, and can't wait to get you out of there.
