Seller's responsibilities for dodgy central heating?

I do not think there is a gas reg as such ?? but there have been several warnings from corgi a while back through the gas installer about useing non genuine parts , although the wording safety critical may have been used ???

i do remember it. They were referring to safety critical electrical parts mainly refurbished pcb's

Manufacturers always require us to fit their GENUINE approved parts.

I wonder why

The same would probably be said of the manufacturer in the thread below, and I much doubt the supplier will go for them for genuine parts:

mfarrow, rest assured Tony will want Renault part (made in france), supplied in Renault van, fitted by Renauly mechanic wearing Renault overalls. Then he will demand Renault warantee for work done in Renault workshop (not K F). If not the they will be numpties that do not know what they are doing as, Tony will tell them how it should be done.
