and when you think you have a buyer, it's just a delivery insurance scam - "I will send delivery driver, he will pay you cash. Oh, you need to pay up front for the insurance, please pay this account, I will cover all in cash payment .... "

The usual Farcebook drivvel is not new.
Are you expecting the inanely bored here to research your postcode?

I had a similar thing, trying to give away (free) an arc welder as I've bought a mig one.

Advertised on Gumtree, I asked people to message me for my address. I think most were bots as the message was always "Hi,is this still available" with the missed space and no question mark.

To people that actually wrote something different, I replied with my address - telling them it was in the porch and to just come and collect. Each time I gave them a day to collect, before I said I'd offer it to the next person.

In total, 27 messages I received. Replied to 8. Week later and the welder is still uncollected in my porch :(

Going to the tip at the weekend with it.

Yep you are, you know it's not so bad, your account can say nothing other than your name and be completely private with nobody being able to even search for you but I get the whole paranoia thing. Had some cracking bargains off marketplace and offloaded plenty too, full of idiots obviously, like Gumtree but you know, good and bad in everything, every now and then you hit a good seller and it all works like a charm.

It's actually pretty good at seeing what's happening in your local area and finding out about stuff, actually there's plenty of positive things to be said about FB now I think of it, as well as all the negative.
