current septic tank (brick) is leaking, old and non-compliant. We plan to either replace with a modern one, if run-off can be made compliant, or to upgrade.
My question is, when choosimg installers, what qualifications, professional bodies etc should I look for?

Afraid there isn't really anything covering this line of work, best bet is to find a Builder or Groundworks Company with experience in drainage works and septic tank installation and check their references. May be worth asking the manufacturers if they can recommend someone in your area, or ask if others have had similar works completed and who they used.

I know Klargester have approved contractors, but not aware of anything else.

Here's one I know, knew him when he first started with just one machine over 30 years ago. He seems to have expanded quite a lot since I lost saw him 20 years ago though.
