"servicing" a Britony II T

As the diaphragm ages/deteriorates, it stretches, so needs a good flow of water to push it up and fire boiler. So pop in a new diaphragm and clean the governor.

Thank you!! Our main boiler has packed up, and we have one of these in an unused part of our hoise. I had shut the water off to that part of the house, and had only partly opened the supply valve, and the comment about it not firing up with a low flow, explained why it wasn’t firing up. So I’d rather than writing this thing off – it’s saved us by being able to have showers again while we are waiting for the main boiler to be replaired.

I’m not! I’m saying thank you to the people discussing this, which has helped me diagnose a fault on this same boiler. But you seem happy to join this thread to accuse me of something I didn’t do. Whatever.
