Its very unusual for a gas valve to fail to the situation where the pilot light will not stay on.

Have they tested or changed the thermocouple?

So unusual that, if you were in our local area, I would call and check it with no charge if thats really what had happened or our standard diagnostic fee plus £8 for a new thermocouple if that was what was really needed.

Going to contradict the both of you ,
It is not unusual for a power pack in a honeywell valve to fail same as it is not unusual for a gas valve to pass gas (which Agile has only seen once).

2 guys looked at this boiler so i would hope they have done the basics and bypassed the overheat stat etc before deciding valve
