Theres a 7 inch clay sewer pipe in my newly dug out foundation it spans 3.2m parallel across it. The foundations are 600mm deep and the clay sewer pipe is deeper at 820mm deep. What are my options to lay concrete in my foundations without compromising the sewer pipe. Can I use the raft technique even or bridging technique? Or should I box in? Help in any way appreciated

Does it serve only your property or do neighbouring properties feed into it?

If the latter you'll require a build over agreement and they'll specify what you need to do and if they'll allow you to build over it.

Thanks for the reply but from what Iv been sent from Severn Trent is that I need to deal with it by a builder or structural engineer. They don’t really advise you.

Structural engineer it is then. You'll need to instruct your SE on the basis that whatever they submit must comply with STW requirements, sometimes it can be advantageous to get your SE to act as your agent ie they submit the application and (as well as knocking up a viable structural solution) deal with any queries along the way. You'll likely need to have a CCTV survey carried out beforehand too. Is this part of an extension with building Control involved?
