can any body give me some advice a person at work was payed out from a share saver scheme £1200 two years ago last thursday he recieved a letter saying he been paid £800 to much and they want the money back can they do this or has it been to long the building society is the halifax.

Assuming its not a spam email and that you indeed posted in the wrong forum then:

Person A on here says they cant do that.

Get legal advise its the only way.
