Yes, I am a lazy sod.

Well - partly. Yes, I have looked for myself, but no, ICBA to keep on looking.

I'm going to be putting a polished stainless steel cabinet into my bathroom, recessed flush into a stud wall. Inside it I want to put a socket, also polished SS, for a toothbrush charger, but I'm b******d if I can find one. Plenty of shaver sockets, but none with a toothbrush graphic. I know the lack of that doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't suitable for a toothbrush charger, but it's even more soul destroying to have to read blurb than it is to scan photos.

Can anybody point me at a product?

Never seen one with a toothbrush graphic, does it really matter?

Also, are you aware this work is notifiable, how are you going to make sure you comply with part p of the building regs? :sneaky:

I see your point I think the MK K703BSS is continuous rated for tooth brush, but I have always used rechargeable shavers so can't really see the difference between shaver and tooth brush. Both have batteries and both need to be on charge for a long time.

I googled and selected images

until I found one with tooth brush logo. I often find better looking at images than the listing. this was the advert I found but once you have MK part number I am sure easy to find.

I guess not, if the written specs say it is suitable for a toothbrush charger. But that's the issue - how do I know?

No, I'm not. Why do you think it is?

By complying with BS 7671.

Just make sure you measure the off or low load output voltage. Due to poor transformer regulation they are typically 140/275 volts on the outputs. If the toothbrush charger is rated 100 to 240 volts use the 115 volt socket as 275 volts may damage it.
Talking from experience here after I had a charger overheat so much the case split open.

Just another thought. Will you earth bond the cabinet as there will be an earthed socket inside?
